John Candy: I Like Me at TIFF

John Candy’s legacy took center stage at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival with the world premiere of the documentary John Candy: I Like Me. Director Colin Hanks and producer Ryan Reynolds made a memorable red carpet entrance in a full-scale replica of Candy’s famously wrecked car from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, complete with a working radio. In partnership with Prime Video and Maximum Effort, the activation included an immersive photo opportunity, giving fans, family, and friends an up-close tribute to Canada’s beloved comedic icon while generating awareness and excitement for the documentary’s release.
