La Placita de Bacardí

Brooklyn // NY

Ahead of New York’s National Puerto Rican Parade, Bacardí hosted La Placita de Bacardí—a vibrant cultural takeover that celebrated Puerto Rican heritage. Hosted at Fandi Mata in Brooklyn, the event transformed the space into a lively plaza with fruit stalls, tropical florals, and custom apparel collaborations with Tier NYC. Inside, guests discovered speakeasy-inspired environments designed for discovery, community, and content capture.

The culinary program featured authentic Puerto Rican small bites, signature Bacardí cocktails, and cafecitos, while DJ Bembona’s live set infused the atmosphere with island sounds. Photo ops, cultural storytelling, and branded moments allowed guests to engage with the brand through the lens of Puerto Rican pride.

By creating a destination experience rooted in heritage and authenticity, Bacardí bridged community, culture, and brand values in a way that resonated both locally and with wider audiences.
